ANSWER: Yes, the solution is 100% POS independent. This is accomplished through structured layers - data retrieval, data translation, data transfer, and data aggregation. All diverse PLU codes from POS, are translated to a consistent set of system codes - irrespective of the type of POS in use at any store. Translation occurs at 3 levels, store specific, default, and undefined. Only the translation layer needs to be customized for the various POS types.
