 | Alaa Pasha - President and CEO Prior to joining MacromatiX Alaa was President and CEO of NCR/Compris. Alaa joined NCR/Compris in 1995 and served in a number of senior management roles, including vice president for Sales and Account Services, vice president of Sales and Marketing, area vice president of International Business and director of Product Management. He was named President and CEO in December 2004.
Alaa been instrumental in NCR/Compris' global expansion into the quick-service restaurant marketplace, working directly with customers as well as with business partners around the globe.
Previously, Alaa was a project manager for a software development firm marketing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Alaa holds a bachelor's of science degree in Computers and Automatic Control Engineering from the school of Engineering at Aim Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.

 | David Shein - Chairman
David Shein established Dimension Data Australia (formerly Com Tech Communications) in July 1987 as a specialist supplier of networking and communications products. Today, Dimension Data is recognised as a leading provider of IT distribution, networking, e-commerce and learning solutions and services to the Australian marketplace.
David emigrated from South Africa to Australia in November 1986 to take up the position as National Sales Manager of Ozisoft. Prior to joining Ozisoft, David, on completing an Accounting degree, was employed by Price Waterhouse in South Africa where he was responsible for establishing a micro computer division within the Small Business Department of Price Waterhouse.
In 2000, Com Tech was sold to Dimension Data. At the time of the sale to Dimension Data, Com Tech was a national company, with offices in all the major states of Australia and New Zealand, employing over 1400 staff and profits exceeding $30mil. During the period of David's tenure, the company had no external debt, was profitable since inception and has annual revenues in excess of $700 million. David attributed the primary reason for Com Tech's growth to exceptional levels of both customer and staff satisfaction. Com Tech was voted the best company to work for in Australia with over 1000 employees. |
 | Dave Jacobson - Managing Director Dave Jacobson has an Electrical Engineering Degree and a further Graduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering; he has been involved in the IT industry for 20 years. Dave started his career as an Electronics Engineer in South Africa where he designed and developed Ethernet and Token Ring cards and hubs for the networking market. He migrated to Australia in 1990 and was employed by Com Tech Communications to start and run the Infrastructure business unit which included products such as Cisco and Bay Networks. Dave had added responsibilities for securing distribution agreements for new products and developing new markets for Com Tech Communications. In 1996, Dave was responsible for the creation of the Internet and Security division. This group quickly emerged as one of the largest Internet integration organisations in Australia with over 200 staff members. As a result of Dave's efforts and the success of the Internet division, Dave was recognised as Global Employee of the Year for the Dimension Data Group. Dave joined MacromatiX as VP Business Development in June 2003.

 | Guy Jacobson - Business Development Director Guy has a M.Sc in Computer Science and has been involved in the IT industry for 20 years; the majority of that time at Dimension Data (previously Com Tech Communications). While working at Dimension Data; Guy was responsible for the development of the global Enterprise Management platform that is used by Dimension Data around the world to remotely manage their customers' networks. Guy was also responsible for running the Enterprise Management Centre in Australia which monitored 3,000 network devices on a 24 by 7 basis. He was also responsible for the setting up and running of Dimension Data Central an application service provider that successfully implemented a hosted desktop environment for small to medium businesses. After Dimension Data Guy worked at Verisign Australia before joining MacromatiX in 2003.

 | Ricky Friedlander - General Manager, United Kingdom and Europe Ricky initially joined MacromatiX as a senior .Net developer and was responsible for many of the core building blocks of the MacromatiX application. Ricky has exceptional experience across a broad range of web development techniques and these have added significantly to the useability and look and feel of the application. With a background in Software Engineering, Ricky has over 8 years experience in the IT Industry. Ricky started his own web design and development business in 2001 dealing with clients across a diverse range of industries until he joined MacromatiX in 2006. He also pioneered Interactive English, one of the first High School e-learning applications providing interactive content and communication for students. Ricky is now responsible for the MacromatiX operations in the UK and Europe Region.

 | Saul Kaplan - CTO Saul has a B.Sc.(Elec)Eng. DipBusM - Prior to MacromatiX, Saul was senior project manager for Jetline Engineering Inc., USA. He has completed major computer based automation projects for companies including: Boeing Aircraft Corp., Ford Motor Co., Caterpillar, McDonnel Douglas, Pratt and Whitney, and Martin Marrietta.
After moving to Australia Saul started MacromatiX specializing in information systems and software development. Saul has over 20 years of experience in developing software solutions across a wide range of industries, focusing on business and operational management. Saul's core strength is an intuitive understanding of customer requirements, which then translates into effective customer focused software solutions.
Saul has been responsible for building enterprise software solutions including, a comprehensive ISO Quality Management Software application (for which he was awarded the Australian Design Award), hotel and resort management, marketing management, work flow management, accounting and document control. Many of these solutions are in use at major corporations across several countries. The evolution of web technologies and associated internet infrastructure led Saul to identify the significant benefit that could be obtained by applying this emerging technology to the Retail industry. This led to the development
of the MacromatiX Retail Operating System which has been delivering excellent results.

 | Richard Miller - Research and Development Director Richard has a B.Sc.(Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town and an MBA (Exec) from the Australian Graduate School of Management.; He has been working in the IT industry for over 17 years, specialising in software development. In 1998 Richard joined Com Tech Communications as a senior consultant and in 2000 managed a Software Development team of over 60 Microsoft software engineers, responsible for delivering large scale, high volume Internet applications. His final role at Com Tech was that of CTO where he was responsible for the selection of technology, vendors and partnerships in the Online software development space. Richard then spent three years at VeriSign consulting in online security before joining MacromatiX in 2004.

 | Colin Mierowsky - Principal Software Architect Colin has been in the IT industry since 1977 in both industry and academia. In this time he has designed and developed software for a myriad of systems and technologies, from batch oriented mainframe applications through to client server, web based and distributed systems. He has also worked in the fields of expert systems and artificial intelligence, and published papers and undertaken research in these as well as logic programming and parallel
computing.
Colin's main interest is in the use of advanced tools, technologies and
techniques to build complex computer systems, with the current incarnation of these being Visual Studio.NET, the .NET framework, Object Oriented Design and Extreme Programming.
Colin holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, A BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town and an MSc in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science. After leaving Dimension Data in 2001, Colin has most recently spent several years at the Solution Development Centre at Microsoft, working on some of their large commercial and government systems. During this time he has learned and contributed to some of the best practices used in their application development, as well as kept up to date on their latest technologies.
